The Joy of Gardening
Love to garden? We do too! We also love to read old gardening books and collecting antique gardening tools. When we're not out back weeding, chasing pests or propagating plants, you'll find us in the den with our prized collection of 100 year old gardening books, poring over quaint drawings of garden plans and planting lists. This blog will excerpt passages from those wonderful gardening resources as well as keep you up to date with our backyard adventures. Gardening tips and tricks from over 100 years ago, who would have thought?

The Garden Bed is a blog dedicated to the gardening enthusiast. Anyone who has ever hoped for rain for their plants while away on a trip, or anyone who has kept digging and planting after sundown, or has sown seeds by moonlight, is the kind of gardener who we want to recognize.

We provide this blog not so much as a how-to, but as a commentary on subjects related to gardens, flowers, vegetables, herbs - basically anything having to do with raising plants. We’ll provide plenty of interesting historical commentary as well to provide us backyard warriors with something to read while it’s raining or during the winter.

Enjoy and please contribute your planting tips and tricks. Maybe you want to tell us about your favorite garden tools or brag about how colorful your garden beds are. Please do. This blog is for you!

  • omg a lot of the comments many people come up with usually are such stoner remarks, now and again i wonder if they actually go through the material pieces and reports prior to posting or if perhaps they essentially gloss over the blog titles and submit the first thing that one thinks of. in any case, it is pleasant to read through brilliant commentary here and there compared to the similar, dated post vomit which i commonly see on the net
